On the 6th of October I had the honor of holding a conference inside my former college, Bocconi University. By far it was the most important achievement for me since the very start of the blog: when in March 2012 I launched The Bespoke Dudes, I did not expect that it would last till today and even less that I would talk about it inside my former University. The topic was "The New Bespoke”: how bespoke tailoring has changed over the years and what is the new way of selling handcrafted products nowadays. The room was full, people stood on the door and many attenders asked questions. I am happy of my decision to extend the invitation to speak also to some artisans and friends: they showed a business model that is not so common on the books. For this reason, I would like to thank Valentino Ricci, Salvatore Ambrosi, Lino Ieluzzi and Gennaro Santillo for participating, Professor Emanuela Prandelli for the introductory speech, the Bocconi Students for Fashion Associaton that made it possible and - last but not least - all of you who were present. Il 6 Ottobre scorso ho avuto l'onore di tenere una conferenza alla Bocconi, l'università dove ho studiato e mi sono laureato qualche anno fa. Di sicuro è stato il traguardo più importante per me da quando ho iniziato questo blog: quando nel marzo del 2012 è iniziata quest'avventura, non mi sarei mai aspettato che The Bespoke Dudes sarebbe durato fino ad oggi e tantomeno che dopo soli due anni sarei arrivato a parlarne proprio nella "mia" università. Il tema era "The New Bespoke": l'evoluzione della sartoria in Italia e il nuovo modo di vendere prodotti artigianali oggi. L'aula era piena, alcune persone erano in piedi e ci sono state tante domande che hanno generato dibattiti interessanti e stimolanti. Sono contento della mia decisione di estendere l'invito ad alcuni artigiani e amici, per dare più concretezza alle mie parole e affinchè mostrassero alla platea dei modelli di business che non si è soliti studiare sui libri. Ringrazio Valentino Ricci, Salvatore Ambrosi, Lino Ieluzzi e Gennaro Santillo per aver partecipato, la Professoressa Emanuela Prandelli per il discorso introduttivo, l'associazione Bocconi Students for Fashion per aver reso possibile l'evento e tutti coloro che hanno assistito alla conferenza.
